Introduction Welcome to Dive2Day.co.uk's web site. Well it's 2008 and we are entering our fourth year. We are hoping that this year will be just as good as our previous years if not better. Dive2Day.co.uk was founded by Nigel Towler and Billy Hammond. Since then there has been many improvements and changes. We can offer just about all the PADI courses including Specialities up to and including arrangements for an IDC (Instructor Development Course). The company is now split into to distinct areas, Recreational courses through PADI and a range of Technical/Rebreather courses through TDI. The PADI courses are run by Nigel through our Midlands based set-up and the TDI courses are by Billy through

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (AOW) Once you have become an Open Water Diver you will want to fine tune your skills and find out what other adventures I can take part in. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of five open water dives and a small amount of home study prior to each dive. Two of the dives must be Deep and Navigation. The other three we are suggesting is Dry Suit, Enriched Air (Nitrox) and Wreck. These we feel are the best option for a UK trained diver. If you would like to consider other options please contact us for a revised price.
How does the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course fit in/link with the PADI Specialities?
Each of the dives on the PADI Advanced Open Water course represents the first dive on that PADI Speciality. For example, the PADI Deep Diver Speciality has four open water dives, therefore complete just three extra dives with us and you have gained a PADI Deep Diver Speciality certification. If you choose our suggested package of dives we will give you a discounted PADI Dry Suit Diver Speciality, all you have to do is completed one more dive with us. Now, for an extra
25.00 GBP we will give you the PADI Enriched Air Diver Speciality, all you have to do is complete the associated final exam.
Course duration is two days. If the course is completed between Monday to Friday then the cost is
299.00 GBP, for weekends the cost is 350.00 GBP. All equipment/manuals/final certification is included, but divers are required to have their own mask, snorkel, fins and boots. Course will take place at Stoney Cove.
PADI Rescue Diver (RES) Up to and until now, you have been diving and basically looking after yourself. The PADI Rescue Diver course starts to get to think outside of the box. The course helps you understand both actions and other peoples actions, therefore being able to lend a hand in case of emergency. You must be: 12 years of age or older, but we would suggest a minimum of 15 years. PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent. Hold a valid First Aid with CPR certification such as a Emergency First Response (EFR) completed or renewed in the last 2 years. An EFR can be provided at a cost of
50.00 GBP when completed as part of this course and takes 0.5 day.
The course has five academic modules (Completed at home prior to course start date), a final exam, ten training exercises conducted in confined water and four open water scenarios. Course duration is 2 to 3 days, Monday to Friday at Stoney Cove for
399.00 GBP. Weekend rates are 450.00 GBP. Manual and final certification is provided. The Future Are you tied of lugging around that twin set, or are you wanting to extend your bottom time without carrying loads of additional gas? Do you take photos or video whilst diving? May it's time you had a look at Rebreathers. At Dive2Day we can offer you the chance try out and experience both Semi Closed Circuit Rebreathers (SCR) like the Drager Dolphin and Fully Closed Circuit Rebreathers (CCR) like the world famous AP diving Inspiration.
Rebreathers - Silent, no bubbles, very low gas usage with 10-20 bar consumption on a typical 1 hour dive and breath warm moist air that is at the perfect mix for your current depth therefore lowering your decompression obligations.
Rebreathers - CCR & SCR We are now offering Try-Dives and TDI combined Advanced Nitrox/Module 1 Ambient Pressure Diving Limited Inspiration/Evolution Courses. These are conducted in the Borneo. Our Module 1 'Air Diluent' Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR)
We are including a unit rental to allow potential new users to experience the rush of diving an Ambient Pressure Diving (AP Diving) Limited Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) without the initial cash out lay. Or for those divers who have already ordered one, but wish to do the course in advance, fitting in with their own timescales or just wanting to get started.
So if you are thinking of moving your diving to the next level and would like to try before you buy. Then our courses are just for you.
Another type of rebreather and often over looked is the Semi Closed Rebreather, with Drager producing probably the best and most popular - The Dolphin. The Drager Dolphin uses a 5 Litre cylinder containing Enriched Air (Nitrox) of either 32, 40, 50 or 60% O2. This small light weight unit can give you in excess of 120 minutes on a single fill. The unit is completely mechanical, with no electronics and in the event of problems it drops into open circuit mode. Units are available almost straight away and course duration is just a couple of days. Pre-requisite is PADI Enriched Air Diver, but this could be combined with the course.
If you would like to know more about rebreather training or technical diving
courses, please feel free to browse our rebreather mini site

art technology offering extended bottom times and total run times of
